All Blade Locations in Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy

All 8 Blade locations in Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, chapter by chapter, with tomb puzzle tips for the Plunderer and Adaptable trophies. None are missable.

Blades are the collectible weapons of Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy — alternate swords for Sophia hidden in Heroes’ Graves across the island. Finding all eight earns the Plunderer trophy, and landing a kill with every one of them unlocks Adaptable. None of them are missable, so you can safely mop them up through Chapter Select after the story.

How Hero Tombs Work

Every optional blade sits inside a Heroes’ Grave — a hidden side room sealed by a sphere-and-light puzzle. The pattern is consistent across the game:

  1. Look for a receptacle or glimmering wall marker slightly off the main path.
  2. A metallic circle on the ground lets you position the light sphere.
  3. Align the sphere’s colors or reflections until the tomb door opens.
  4. Claim the blade inside; the chamber is safe, with no enemies.

If you hear the ambient sound change or notice a tucked-away passage near a puzzle device, check it — most tombs announce themselves through audio cues.

Chapter-by-Chapter Blade Tips

Chapter 4: Kopis

After the overhead-spike section where Leni offers her hand, keep advancing to the right and use the sphere device to open the tomb.

Chapter 5: Greek Sword

At the camp ringed by ruin pillars, climb the pillars on the left, then stand on the metal circle near the seagull nest and align the sphere colors to open the tomb.

Chapter 6: Sica

After collecting Daedalus’s Key, take the muddy path to the left, reach the second lit platform, and angle the sphere’s trio of colors.

Chapter 7: Khopesh

In the open area with the Minotaur statue and the skull-head statue, stand on the metal circle and line up the sphere colors.

Chapter 9: Broken Spear

After the man is killed by the creature, head left up the short stairs and climb the ledge to the tomb.

Chapter 10: Xiphos

In the forest lens puzzle with Faro, cross to the back-right corner over the stream, work up to the tomb puzzle, and align the colors.

Using Blades for the Adaptable Trophy

Adaptable requires a kill with every blade, not just ownership. The efficient route:

  • Your two story blades (Rusty Sword, Falchion) will rack up kills naturally.
  • For each tomb blade, after claiming it, find the nearest combat encounter.
  • Post-story, you can farm remaining kills via Chapter Select and checkpoint restarts — progress toward Adaptable persists across sessions.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many Blades are in Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy?

There are 8 standard blades, plus a 9th (Hero’s Blade) if you own the pre-order DLC. Only the 8 standard blades count toward the Plunderer and Adaptable trophies.

Are any Blades missable in Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy?

No. All tomb blades can be collected after the story through Chapter Select, and Chapter Select shows trackers for how many you found per chapter.

What is the best Blade in the game?

Blades differ in feel and moveset rather than raw stats, so the best one is largely preference. Collect all eight anyway — you need a kill with each for Adaptable.

Do I need the DLC Hero’s Blade for trophies?

No. The Hero’s Blade is a pre-order cosmetic-adjacent bonus and is not required for Plunderer, Adaptable, or any other trophy.
