Can You Replay Chapters in Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy?

Yes — Chapter Select replays any chapter for missed collectibles. What carries over, the one exception (Resonance Points), and when a cleanup run makes sense.

Yes. Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy has full Chapter Select, and it directly answers the question every collector asks after the credits: can I go back? You can replay any chapter you have reached from the main menu at any time — including after finishing the story — and every collectible type in the game remains obtainable on a replay.

That makes the game effectively 100%-friendly: nothing on the collector’s checklist is permanently missable. But there is one important exception, covered below.

What carries over on a replay

Every counted collectible can be picked up through Chapter Select, in any chapter, as many times as you need:

  • Artefacts (37, split into Relics of the Present and Relics of the Past)
  • Charms (30, including the five Pierced Coins from the Theseus Echoes)
  • Blades from the Heroes’ Graves (8 swords)

Chapter Select is also how most players grab the handful of easy-to-miss moment trophies — Theater Enthusiast in Chapter 2 is the classic example. For a full per-chapter breakdown, see the All Collectibles Locations hub or any of the twelve chapter collectible guides linked from it.

The one exception: Resonance Points

Resonance Points behave differently from every other collectible: they are not retroactively collected through Chapter Select the way items are. Points tied to combat encounters and story beats are granted as you play through a chapter again, but scattered exploration points require you to actually pass them — and planning a single thorough run matters far more for these than for items.

The game is forgiving by design: you need 165 of the 200 total Resonance Points for the related trophy, leaving 35 as buffer. Our Resonance Points Guide explains the routing and what to prioritize on a first pass.

When a cleanup run makes sense

Two approaches work:

  1. Collect as you go, chapter by chapter, using the chapter guides. This is the efficient route — the only items that reward real attention are the Chapter 6 artefact that is route-gated and the Resonance Points you pass along the way.
  2. Story first, cleanup after. Since nothing item-wise is missable, you can finish the 14-chapter campaign (15-20 hours) and then use Chapter Select for whatever your tally is missing. Chapter 13, As One, is the natural last chance for a pre-finale sweep — Chapter 14 has no collectibles at all.

Either way, the trophy for full collection is unmissable in the long run. The only genuinely missable content in the game is moment-based — see Missable Trophies and Content for that list.

FAQ

Does Chapter Select reset my difficulty or progress?

No. Replaying a chapter leaves your collected items collected; you keep everything you already picked up, and difficulty can be chosen per run.

Can I replay the final chapter or refight the Minotaur?

Yes — Chapter Select includes the late-game chapters, so the Minotaur boss fight can be replayed like any other.

Is there New Game Plus?

For collection cleanup you do not need one: Chapter Select’s per-chapter replays are faster for filling gaps than a full second playthrough, and everything item-wise stays obtainable through them.
