This is the complete story walkthrough for Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, the prequel that follows the young plunderer Sophia across Minotaur Island, 15 years before the events of A Plague Tale: Requiem. Below you will find every chapter, its subchapters, its collectibles, and the key beats and obstacles — the sphere puzzles, the creature stealth sections, and the combat set pieces that gate your progress.

How to Use This Walkthrough

Play chapters in order on your first run — the game is strictly linear. Two global rules apply from Chapter 1 to the end:

  • Grab every glimmering white light. Resonance Points are the only missable thing in the game; you need 165 of 200 in one playthrough.
  • Nothing else is urgent. Blades, Artefacts, Charms, and Echoes can all be swept after the story via Chapter Select.

Early Game: Chapters 1-2 (Blood Ties, Felons)

Chapter 1 teaches the essentials: basic melee combat with the Rusty Sword, your first parries, and the salvage loop. After the fight with Valerio, search the corpse near the dry branch for the Handled Cross (Relic of the Present 1/14).

Chapter 2 (Felons) opens up the grappling hook, rooftop traversal, and the first charm chest (after you pull an archer down from the rooftops, check along the wall on the left). Before crossing the bridge, the dock on the right hides the Flag of Venice; past the church square, the Bull Mask sits behind the tents. Your second blade, the Falchion, arrives automatically.

Mid Game: Chapters 3-7 (Those Before Us to Death It Sowed)

Chapter 3 is a combat-free exploration chapter and the single richest relic hunt — six Artefacts and four Charms, no enemies to pressure you.

Chapter 4 (From Hell It Rose) introduces the overhead-spike gauntlet and the first sphere-tomb puzzle; the Kopis blade waits past it. The Three Pedestal Symbols puzzle in Subchapter 1 is the signature obstacle — align each pedestal’s symbol to match its murals.

Chapter 5 is the longest stretch of the game at roughly 2.5 hours. The camp ringed by ruin pillars holds the Greek Sword tomb (climb the left pillars, use the metal circle by the seagull nest). This chapter also hides your first Theseus Echo.

Chapter 6 (What Lies Beneath) descends underground; after Daedalus’s Key, the muddy left path leads to the Sica tomb at the second lit platform.

Chapter 7 (Death It Sowed) runs through a graveyard, a Black Temple, and open ruins. The Khopesh tomb sits near the Minotaur and skull-head statues.

The Turn: Chapter 8 (Resonance)

A pure story interlude — The Thread, Fathers, An Empty Palace, Her. No combat, no puzzles, no collectibles. Let it play.

Late Game: Chapters 9-13 (Night Has Come to As One)

Chapter 9 mixes cave, ruined town, and palace infiltration. The Broken Spear tomb is up the short stairs after the creature kills the man — go left, climb the ledge.

Chapter 10 (Parallel Paths) pairs you with Faro through scaffolding, the Door, and Daedalus’ Workshop. The Xiphos tomb hides in the forest lens puzzle across the stream at the back-right.

Chapter 11 (Patera) is the stealth gauntlet against the creature, closing with a chapter boss. The trophies They Were People and Refraction unlock here — both story-adjacent, so play naturally.

Chapter 12 (Fading Light) is a steady climb with light puzzle work.

Chapter 13 (As One) is the finale: the full ascent and the final confrontation with the Minotaur. Two Artefacts and the final Trinket charm hide on the way up — the Trinket sits between two vases beside a lens after Ariadne’s rescue.

Epilogue: Chapter 14 (What Remains)

A single quiet subchapter, Ashes. No combat, no puzzles, no collectibles. Watch it through for the A new beginning trophy.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many chapters are in Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy?

Fourteen — from Blood Ties (Chapter 1) to the What Remains epilogue (Chapter 14). Chapters 8 and 14 are short story beats with no collectibles.

How long does the full walkthrough take?

A moderate story pace runs 12-16 hours. A thorough run collecting as you go lands closer to 15-18 hours, with Chapter 5 the longest single chapter at around 2.5 hours.

Can I replay chapters after finishing the story?

Yes. Chapter Select unlocks progressively and lets you return to any completed chapter to mop up missed collectibles. The only exception is Resonance Points, which reset when replaying earlier chapters.

Is Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy harder than the previous games?

It is more combat-focused than Innocence and Requiem — Sophia fights head-on rather than hiding — but the trophy difficulty sits at a mild 3/10 and no difficulty trophies are reported.
