Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy hides 275 collectibles across its 14 chapters, and hunting every one of them is the core of 100% completion. This guide gives you the full breakdown of every collectible type, which chapters hold them, and the single most important missable warning in the game. Use it as your master checklist before diving into the chapter-specific and type-specific guides.

Collectible Types and Totals

There are four main collectible categories in Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, plus the skill-currency Resonance Points that behave differently from everything else.

Collectibles by Chapter

The distribution is uneven. Chapters 3, 5, and 7 are the richest hunting grounds, while Chapters 8 and 14 contain nothing at all.

The One Missable Rule You Must Know

Almost every collectible in Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy can be recovered after the story through Chapter Select. There is exactly one exception: Resonance Points do not carry over in Chapter Select.

  • Resonance Points are only saved when you reach the next checkpoint.
  • If you replay an earlier chapter, your total resets to what it was when you first played that chapter.
  • You must collect at least 165 of the 200 available in a single playthrough to unlock every skill for the Like a warrior trophy.
  • You are allowed to miss up to 35 points, so a few skipped lights will not ruin the run.

If you notice you missed more than 10 Resonance Points in a chapter, restart that chapter immediately rather than continuing.

How Each Collectible Works

Blades

Blades are alternate swords for Sophia hidden inside Heroes’ Graves. Each tomb is opened by solving a sphere-and-light puzzle that stands slightly off the main path. Your first two blades (Rusty Sword and Falchion) come automatically through the story in Chapters 1 and 2. The pre-order Hero’s Blade DLC weapon is a ninth blade but is not required for any trophy.

Artefacts

The 37 Artefacts split into 14 Relics of the Present and 23 Relics of the Past. They are lore items that flesh out the island’s history and the Minoan civilization. Several sit down short dead-end paths that force a backtrack, so sweep side corridors before crossing any point of no return.

Charms

Charms are passive upgrades found almost exclusively in small chests. They fall into six amulet types — Beads, Bands, Bracelets, Pendants, Signet Rings, and Coins — with five of each. Five charms come from the Theseus Echoes instead of chests.

Theseus Echoes

These five axe chalices are tied to the dual-timeline story and reward Pierced Coins, which count toward your charm total. They appear in Chapters 5, 6, 7, 9, and 10, always slightly off the critical path.

Resonance Points

These glimmering white lights are the game’s skill currency. Each pickup is worth one point, and a few are handed out automatically after combat encounters. Open the menu and check the bottom-left corner of the Artefacts tab to track your running total.

  1. Play the story on your preferred difficulty while collecting as many Resonance Points as possible — this is the only truly missable set.
  2. Grab every chest, tomb, and relic you pass naturally, but do not stress about missing Blades, Artefacts, or Charms.
  3. After the credits, use Chapter Select to sweep Chapters 3, 5, and 7 for the densest clusters.
  4. Finish with combat trophy cleanup via checkpoint restarts.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many collectibles are in Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy?

There are 275 collectibles: 8 Blades, 37 Artefacts, 30 Charms (including 5 Theseus Echoes), and 200 Resonance Points. Only 165 of the 200 Resonance Points are required for trophies.

Can I miss collectibles permanently in Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy?

No, except for Resonance Points. Blades, Artefacts, Charms, and Theseus Echoes can all be collected after the story via Chapter Select. Resonance Points reset when you replay an earlier chapter, so 165 must be gathered in one continuous playthrough.

Which chapters have no collectibles?

Chapter 8 (Resonance) and Chapter 14 (What Remains) contain zero collectibles. You can play both straight through without searching for anything.

Do I need the pre-order DLC blade for the Plunderer trophy?

No. The Hero’s Blade from the pre-order bonus is a ninth weapon, but the Plunderer and Adaptable trophies only require the eight standard blades found in the Heroes’ Graves.

Where can I check my collectible progress?

Boot the game and select your save to see counters for Blades, Artefacts, and Charms. The same totals appear in Chapter Select. Resonance Points are tracked at the bottom-left of the Artefacts tab in the menu.
